Have you heard about Warby Parker?
Well if you haven't, you will. Warby Parker operates on a buy a pair give a pair program and operates on the thought that trendy, quality frames don't have to cost $300+. In fact a pair of frames with perscription, anti-glare, anti-scratch lenses will only cost you $95.

It all starts out with your FREE home try on. Just add 5 pairs to your cart by selecting your frames and + Add Home Try On, then they ship them to you to try out for 5 days. For those 5 days they encourage you to try them out, as your friends and pick your perfect pair.

I placed my try-on order on Wednesday and they were shipped UPS to my door on Friday morning. I opened it up to find my five picks packed up in a adorbs box.
You know how much I love good packaging. The back of this card has all the info on how to order once you find a pair or two that you love and how to mail the samples back.
Here are my 5 picks // I wanted something bigger and more unique from what I have now {which is around the size of the Linwood pair in the below picture. So those were almost instantly eliminated although I do like them a lot}

My top 2 that I liked immediately were Preston and Ainsworth. So I asked my Insta + FB friends, and excluding the occasional other vote, it was pretty much a straight up tie between the 2 pairs. So no help at all very helpful. I decided to show some of my friends in person to see what they thought.
I really loved having the 5 pairs to try out for 5 days. I think I made the right choice! Ordering was super easy once I decided. I just logged in /// added them to my cart /// choose prescription, readers or non prescription /// if you choose prescription you choose to take a photo and upload your RX from the DR or have them give your DR a call /// and order /// $95 free shipping and returns

I am so excited to get the glasses! Now that I have to wear them everyday I am excited to have 2 pairs to swap out.

PS /// Warby Parker didn't pay me for my review, I just like to brag on companies I love ///

Happy Friday ///

Hope you had a great week, this week Cam and I took some time to chill and run some errands we have been putting off. I am still loving the new store set up, it gives me so much more time to focus on custom orders, new designs, and not be so stressed about orders. We are actually a full two days ahead on getting orders out! It is amazing!

Here is a peak into life this week!

We had our 3 day 'God'd Word is Truth' District Convention at the Gwinnet Arena
I made bad coffee. Like really bad coffee on Saturday Morning, thank goodness for
Starbucks on the way. We were already running late but I decided late was better than caffeine-less

My beautiful friend Ashley and I on Saturday

Cameron and I out to dinner Saturday after the convention

There I was just checking out at Target, minding my own business when the Starbucks lady brought me the cutest thing I had ever seen in my life. MADE.MY.DAY I am still excited about it as I type this
Running some errands yesterday when we stumbled on the set of a new Adam Sandler movie filming at the Mall of Ga! So many trailers, vans, Escaldes, light crews crazy!

We were able to get pretty close to the set, close enough to see how HUGE Shaq is in person. And hear Adam yelling director-y things like ACTION and LETS ROLL WITH THAT. It was one of the coolest things ever!

One of my best party gals Jessica from Party Pants was on a morning show showing off her super adorable gender reveal party ideas {check out the video here} She did so amazing and I am crazy proud of her!

She was going to deliver some super cute donuts to The Rhode Show to say thank you, and asked me to design some little tags to tie on each donut bag. The design of the tags matches this invite in my shop {DONUT BABY SPRINKLE} I thought they turned out so cute! Props to Jess for the idea and perfect implementation of this! I know they loved it!

Dear Pinterest ///

Thank you. You are the most productive time waster on the whole internet. I have personally seen the effects you can have on a business. You have made my home cuter with your DIY projects and my bookmark bars less full with a better way to organize my brain. You have introduced me to the most fattening recipes and some great ways to workouts to try after I eat those recipes.

You have introduced me to some great bloggers, and made me feel completely inadequate in my sewing skills {but that's okay because you can probably help me with that too}

Thank you for bringing me customers and helping my blog and shops be where they are today! Where would we be without you pinterest?

Feel free to participate in Thank You Thursday by grabbing a button on the right of the page.
/// PS. If you don't follow me on Pinterest you should! ///

DBNGraphics has only been opened for a little over a week and I am already blown away by the warm reception it is getting.

/// THANK YOU ///

The Simple Damask Invite was one of the original invites in my shop, when I was opening the new DBNGraphics shop I knew I wanted to add it. So I gave it a facelift and turned it into a DIY editable template in 5 awesome colors that are available for instant download

They make the perfect simple invites for baby or bridal showers.

I am always mixing things up on my walls. Art prints and pictures last for a month or two in my hallway before I want to swap them out. Here is a cheap + easy way to spice up your walls, by adding some texture and making it easy to mix it up.

I got a couple of clipboards for something else at Target for about $2, most of them have a little hang tag thing that sticks out the top to make them easy to hang.

Then you just add the art and go! /// PS. I KNOW A SUPER CUTE SHOP YOU COULD GET SOME ART PRINTS FROM /// It also works great with kids art work and to show off pictures that you might want to switch out often!

Happy decorating!

Recently I met a fellow handmade artist and blogger.

Isn't she gorgeous? We instantly bonded over our love of Disney and being Etsy sellers. I am so excited for her to be the first Etsy Seller Feature on the blog.

I wish we could have sat down for a cup of coffee and had a real-life conversation but thanks to techcnology our coast to coast conversation had to happen via email. She has some great advice for anyone who sells or is thinking of selling on Etsy! Read on for a coupon to use in her beautiful shop!

In 5 sentences or less tell us a little bit about yourself!
I'm a southern California girl, grew up in Los Angeles area and now live in the Orange County area. I graduated from Cal State Long Beach with a degree in Psychology. I've been dating my husband since I was 16 years old, and we've been married 6 years! I love meeting new people and trying new things, especially traveling and recently, running. I take each day as a blessing and do my very best to treat it as such.

What is the name of your Etsy shop and how long have you been open?
My Etsy shop is named "delovely details" and I listed my first item back in July of 2011. {Check out her shop here}

What is the hardest part of owning your own business?
The hardest part of owning your own business is not having regular work hours. I do my best to make sure I have some down time for my husband and myself but it can be really hard. It's so important to keep your priorities straight. I feel guilty if I don't write back Etsy conversations right away sometimes, even if I'm supposed to be spending quality time with someone else. It's a balancing act.
What is the best thing you ever did for your business?
The best thing I did for delovely details was networking. I do my best to stay up to date with people in my industry and meet fellow Etsy sellers. Starting those relationships not only can give you advice and help in certain aspects, but they can also help you get word out about your products. Not to mention, some of the coolest people I've met are fellow Etsy sellers.

What didn't you expect when you opened the shop?
I really didn't expect for delovely details to take off like it did. When I first started, I figured if I could make enough money a month to have a date night, then it was worth it. A year after I started selling, I was able to quit my 9-5 job. Never in a million years did I think that was possible. The timing was perfect.
What is the one thing you wish someone had told you before you opened?
I wish someone would have told me how demanding it can be and all of the stress that comes with starting your own Etsy shop. I wasn't prepared for any of that. I wish someone would have told me how consuming it can be. I love and hate it at the same time. However, this is one of the most fulfilling things in my life.

What is the one piece of advice you would offer to someone who was thinking of opening a shop?
One piece of advice I would give someone who was thinking of opening a shop is to make sure you are passionate about it. If you don't have passion about what you are doing or creating, you will burn out.
What is your day to day life like owing your shop and running a blog?
My day to day life is pretty busy, especially right now during wedding season. Even the blog has had to take a backseat to orders recently (hopefully that will change soon). I start working around 7am and I'm pretty happy if I can stop working around 10pm. It can be tough but I love it when I get a picture from a customer using our products on their wedding day or a thank you note from someone. It really makes my entire day.
What is your favorite "day-off" activity?
When I'm not in my garage working, I love to run. I've completed 2 half marathons and I'm currently training for 3 more in the next six months. My husband and I also have season passes to Disneyland, so we take breaks and go on a few rides on occasion.
What are your favorite blogs?
I have way too many blogs that I love. If I had to name too, I'd probably choose these ladies: I've been following Jenny from since before I was married. I recently found, followed, met and became friends with Julie over at

What is your biggest online pet-peeve?
My biggest online pet-peeve is no-reply commenters. I want to have a conversation with these commenteres so bad, but I can't if they are no-reply. Change your setting people! Julie has a great tutorial on how to make sure you are not a "no-reply" commenter:
